SILVA Entertainment recognized as the Best of the Best
Below is an exclusive review of SILVA Entertainment by brides surveyed by the Knot magazine. Additionally read an interview with SILVA Entertainment’s executive producer J.R. Silva by Penny Mathis, writer for HowToForTheIDO.com
MUSIC by SILVA Entertainment.
"These Central Florida DJ’s get kudos from brides who want
reception play lists that are personalized down to the very last note."
Penny: Congratulations on your staff being recognized in the Florida and Southeast
market. Tell me, do brides expect a "personalized" play list?
JR: Yes and Yes. Yes they expect a level of service which allows things to be personalized and not so cookie cutter or ordinary. And yes their play list gets our full attention but more importantly, we create a running timeline agenda for the bride and groom. This lets them see all that we are doing to make their event unique to them. It reflects them and reflects well on them during the event. We find their vendors appreciate it as well. The SILVA Show Flow enables the couple to see we were really LISTENING. So they no longer fret over us or the music. They relax, enjoy their day and look forward to their honeymoon.
“Our DJ was great at mixing up our selections and also did
our ceremony music.”
Penny: Most weddings have a mix of guests in attendance don’t they?
JR: “Bouncing the music around can be challenging, keeping the older audience
in mind, while not forgetting the youth in attendance, it’s all timing and crowd
reading skill.
Our DJ’s have the experience (time in) necessary to do these special type of events.”
Penny: How much time in should a DJ have to program a wedding?
JR: “That’s a great question. There is just so much music in the world, I would say at least three years, for a true working knowledge of the important genres.”
“They kept the night alive and got everybody dancing!”
Penny: Well that’s why brides need entertainment, to get everybody dancing. It is a celebration.
JR: “Exactly, we take the client’s ideas, or in this case their music programming
goals and make them come alive, throughout the event. We strive to engage guests
in a classy and fun way, so they trust us, get up and participate. That’s one
strategy that can make it a more memorable party.”
